“Our mission in working with children and families is to assist each child to become the most effective and functional communicator possible.  We do this through individualizing each child’s program based on their performance levels, data collection, collaboration and input from parents and others familiar with the child and frequent progress updates.  We believe in using a combination of therapy approaches including developmental theories, Applied Behavior Analysis, behavioral techniques, and others that may be specific to a particular child’s needs.  We understand that a child who is unable to effectively communicate may not be as successful, happy or motivated as one who feels confident and comfortable communicating with others.  We at Communication Counts are dedicated to helping each child gain this confidence and feel comfortable in his or her ability to be heard!”
